I think what this quote means that some people choose the right and some people say or think there are not popular just by choosing the right. And people who choose the wrong think there are popular just by choosing the wrong. For example, bullies they think they look cool or popular by bully a kid and hurting there feeling. But they never know how the kid really is or what he been through. Another example, is that don't passing all their classes they think they're awesome but they don't know the consequences.
